“Bad Indians” by Ryan Red Corn – Must See This Video

“BAD INDIANS” by Ryan Red Corn – I need you to check out this video from youtube site: “the 1491s”!
** I do not advocate for the use of the word-name “Indians” for us, in this case I just relax.** Blessings

The picture on the heading of this post came from a “troll” – and it was an annonymous source. The racist producer of this pic and the message used the theme from a Province of Manitoba’s promotional program. The person or group who made this “racist piece of garbage” actually used a pic of some reality of a “true showing” of the generational damage done by colonialism… the generational effects of the destruction of our family unity and our way of life. Sure to some this is how were are seen and how they still “think” and “feel” about us “indains” (I spelled this wrong name intentionally because it is WRONG!) I hope that you can become willing to grow out of socialization and colonialism of my people.

What does bad Indians conjure up in that twisted demented brain and fogged-up skewered mind’s eye of yours? Do you think negatively? Do you feel positive? Do you want to avoid talking or at least talking reality? Do you live in Egypt in denial? Or do you want to see the full perspective of how, who and why we are now? It is my hope that you are prepared to be inspired by this video… and if it doesn’t do that – then keep it and re-look at in a few days… and then after a few days more and on and on.

For me, I see and understand more about myself and my Native North American Tribal Blood… and this feels good. Realistically, it it takes many of us – years to take in more – reveal, see, feel, understand, accept and have loving peace with who and how we are here in this life. It takes time as I know… to make room in my heart and mind to see more and then want to see more better about me – myself.

Keeping in mind that it has taken us generations of occupation and subjugation… for us to come to this place we are at now. For too many if us it is not pretty… and for too many of us it is DEADLY! I mean to emphasize more about the troubled side IN which far to many of us are living today. Not that we chose to do this and not that we do not want to get out of it… For those of you – us who have trouble reading this or acknowledging this troubled side – please try to understand that I mean to establish a point of  of reference or maybe re-establish our old point of reference of when we were simply – human beings and not in a competition with ourselves and the rest of society. I say “competition” because of the degree of constant difficulty too many of us have living here today. It is difficult to understand the whole concept of who were are today in relationship to who we were long ago… and yet, this video and the people in it – simplify this concept – this once generous loving sense of who we are supposed to be… and still must be.

WHILE  I certainly do understand the generational and historical facts of the source of our troubles – I can still be and am disturbed by the disproportionately great numbers of my people who are in trouble… of who are victims and victimizers… of who are in the justice and criminal cases in this country –  I AM INSPIRED TO BE PROUD AS I SEE SUCH REAL RELEVANT AND POSITIVE REPRESENTATION OF OUR TRIBAL PEOPLE BY OUR TRIBAL PEOPLE AND THE WORDS THEY SPEAK AND SING. I am reminded of the strong nature of who I am and as part of our tribal nations. And I certainly see the place I come from and what I have been through and where I want and will to go!

Let us watch this video again and again and not only pick out the “good” words – but put them straight into our being – absorb them and make a personal part of you. Make them inspire you to be a powerful part of us to be who we really truly are – no matter where we are right now. No matter if we cannot speak our native language or exemplify the original color of skin or quantify the blood percentage quota of that particular tribe… let’s live the destiny of great connection – the great relationship to the great mystery of creation and of life, To live in harmony and balance – no matter of the environment or the dominant society. No matter how pained or put-down or marginalized we think we are. No matter of the obstacles internal or outward in front of us… those memories that you may carry deep inside and the resulting  the shame that keeps you prisoner. No matter what. Fight the good fight for freedom.

There are ways to begin to grow stronger – more determined – living that indomitable spirit – that source of energy and power to realize where you are, where you want to go and how to do it – heal and live freer than ever.

In this video it is my hope that each of you finds inspiration to live true. Remember too that we are still that race of proud connected people… we only need to see and believe and live the talk. This video is a whole lot of good.

Blessings shared.
