CHRISTMAS – ARE YOU SOCIALIZED FOR COLONIZATION?

Christmas – Socialized Colonialism

The greatest story ever told is the same old story behind one of colonial suffrage. Like Thanksgiving Day – Christmas this is a phony tool of colonization.

The way to make these special days more relevant is to first put some value to it from where you live. Then take this special day and celebrate it with your other colonizers and conquerors.

You as colonizer/conqueror you have “found” a people whose land you have discovered. So, you invade their land through violence, or you swindle them out of it,

Or where you can’t beat them outright – you burn them out, kill their food source, spread disease, armed some and turn them against each other.

You cause them to run and try to hide without food or warmth.

When it comes to Christmas you have implemented an insidious attack on their natural way of life with a form of religion telling them their natural gratitude practices of daily life and their expression of connection to this world and all other life forms is wrong and no longer rewarding for them.

You grow stronger as they grow weaker, and they have a great loss in self determination, and they lose family unity and lose dignity and pride…  they become lost without the natural bred skills of living true with all other creatures.

They come to you for sustenance – to try to appease you and your way so they can just eat!

Their children see their parents – adults – who have changed. They have lost most everything – their diets, changed their values, changed their minds and way of life. The leaders are gone. The conquered have lost freedom.

They have lost their language. They have lost their inner strength and healthy minds to poison drink ad chemicals.

Their have lost their belief. They have lost connection to their natural expression of faith.

NOW – you make them feel so lost and worthless – unworthy and abandoned by their original way of faith and life.

You demonstrate a fictitious way of giving, getting and faking loving good life.

You reward some of those who have no choice but to take part in your religion. To spread your dogma and ideology.

You make it like a reward where actually you limit their suffering when they assume your religion and they join in on your condemnation of their natural born relationship with this universe and of their own family, friends and tribe.

There is more to why I see Christmas as a phony fake way of playing “good human”.

I remember that racism and the old colonial condescending attitude is prevalent. This is especially true for little towns.

I propose as a Tribal people that we let go of these Christian manipulative days and regain our true source of strength, health and dignity.

For now, weigh the way Christmas, Thanksgiving and other special “holiday days” effect your life and that of your family, friends, community and tribe.

Think what happens the rest of the year.

Mitakuye Oyasin,

He ce tuwelo.
